Hello, I am Alyssa Huque.

I am currently pursing an MPhil in Technology Policy at the University of Cambridge. I also participate in the Cambridge Debate Union and am a member of Newnham College.

Prior to my masters, I worked at Nike in Marketing Technology as a Software Engineer. My team oversaw the development and maintenance of data infrastructure focused on understanding how Nike and its competitors are performing in the marketplace through market share and consumer perception.

I also have professional experiences in healthcare research, supply chain analytics, and financial compliance.

Outside of my professional pursuits, I spend my time reading, swimming, and playing soccer.

  • Responsible for the data infrastructure assessing Nike and its competitors’ performance through market share, financial trends, and consumer perception in Marketing Technology
  • Engineered data pipelines for quarterly executive and board-level reporting, ensuring high integrity of data to provide critical insights into global marketplaces

Associate Financial Compliance Analyst, Nike - Rotation III

September 2022 - March 2023

  • Worked in Corporate Information and Security to ensure IT security met financial compliance regulations
  • Developed a POC to automate the detection of security vunerabilities in databases
  • Validated and documented security automations to increase the efficiency of audits as required by the Sarbanes Oxley Act

  • Owned data pipelines to identify shopping and movement trends within Nike stores

  • Worked in Global Operations & Logistics on the Consumer Order Management and Fulfillment team
  • Developed a Java library to standardize Splunk logs. This allowed business analytics to be done across microservices enabling new fulfillment metrics to be calculated
  • Built dashboards for senior management/VPs to increase observability and monitoring of Nike's consumer order management systems
